Local charity benefits from Riverside launch
Local charity Golden Leaves will benefit from the skills of Pauline Cousins, of Mail News Media, at the roulette table. Pauline was one of the guests who attended the launch event at the Riverside Building, the landmark office accommodation on Waterside Business Park in Hessle. The building has been developed by Ian Scruton and his team at Scruton the Builders.
Part of the evening’s entertainment was a casino, with guests putting their driving skills to the test with Scalextric or chancing their luck at the roulette, blackjack and craps tables. Pauline amassed the most ‘pretend’ money from her winnings and Ian Scruton presented her with a cheque for £250 to donate to her favourite charity. Golden Leaves is the Hull Daily Mail’s nominated charity this year.
Ian Scruton, Managing Director of Scruton, commented:
“I’m pleased that the launch event for the Riverside has resulted in a donation to such a worthwhile local charity. We are very proud of this new building and the feedback from our guests has been extremely positive. We have definitely created a new landmark on the banks of the River Humber.”
